These are separate procedures grouped together because each adjusts one facial feature in relation to the rest of the face. Ear reshaping sets prominent ears back, chin surgery alters projection with an implant or by moving the bone, and lip procedures adjust size or shape. Assessment considers facial proportion rather than the feature alone.

Ear reshaping (otoplasty)
Prominent ears are corrected by reshaping the cartilage and setting the ear closer to the head, through an incision hidden behind the ear. In children it is commonly done from around six years, once the ears have reached close to adult size, and in adults at any age.
A supportive headband is worn for a period afterwards. The commonest problems are asymmetry between the two ears, partial recurrence of prominence as cartilage relaxes, and sensitivity to cold in the ears for some months. Keloid scarring behind the ear is uncommon but is more likely in those prone to it.
Chin reshaping
A chin that projects too little unbalances the profile and often makes the nose look larger and the jawline less defined — which is why chin assessment belongs in a rhinoplasty consultation too. Projection can be increased with an implant or by cutting and repositioning the chin bone, the latter allowing adjustment in more than one direction.
Numbness of the lower lip and chin is common early and usually recovers, though it can persist. Implants can shift or, rarely, become infected and need removal. Assessment includes how your teeth meet, because a chin problem is sometimes actually a jaw position problem, and in that case orthodontic or jaw surgery is the correct answer rather than a chin implant.
Lip reshaping
Surgical lip reduction removes a strip of tissue from inside the lip to reduce bulk, leaving a scar concealed inside the mouth. It is permanent, and over-reduction is difficult to correct, so conservative is better.
Where the goal is more volume rather than less, non-surgical options are usually the sensible starting point precisely because they are adjustable and not permanent.
